Types of leather material

At present, fast printers usually use 3 leather materials to print according to customer requirements.

  • True leather: A durable, luxurious and expensive material made from animal skin. The skin does not have bad odor, long lasting retains its durability and glossiness..
  • Leather simili: The most common type of imitation leather today. The material is made of a fabric made from polyester fibers and then dyed on one or two layers of PVC. Next, the fabric will be treated to have a smooth surface and dye the desired color. Hard leather, lightweight surface, smells characteristic of PVC and difficult to clean.
  • PU leather: High quality leather, similar to genuine leather. The skin is covered with 1 or 2 layers of Polyurethane (PU). Compared with conventional simulators, PU leather is more flexible, less odor and easier to clean.
